Ocean's Creek: a Euro final in a frenzied atmosphere
Ocean’s Creek, now emerging as a hospitality establishment armed with creativity and expertise, brought its guests and football fans an exceptional final, enriched with activities, exchanges, shows and entertainment, after having enlivened the entire UEFA Euro 2024 period with a series of activities. Here’s a look back at the intense programme on 14 July, when the four-star hotel in Le Goulet brilliantly captured the essence of football while maintaining its high level of hospitality.
With the match, in which the Spanish team won the Cup, due to start late in the evening in Mauritius, Ocean’s Creek took care to turn the hours of waiting before kick-off into a pleasant experience for its guests. From dynamic entertainment led by the hotel’s team and NRJ, to live music sessions, creative exchanges and much more, the resort seems to have pulled out all the stops to provide a lively yet relaxing experience for its guests.
Although a fireworks display was organised to celebrate Bastille Day, it was a fascinating show inspired by the French cabaret Moulin Rouge that electrified the audience. The performance, given by a troupe of local dancers, was carefully orchestrated to the last detail, with dazzling costumes, daring and captivating choreography, and a touch of wonder. All of which could infuse the guests with an infectious energy, keeping them energised until the end of the match and well into the evening. Creating an atmosphere where everyone, big or small, introvert or extrovert, can be carried away with confidence, this programme underlines Ocean’s Creek’s talent for entertainment and leisure.
The evening ended in « The Cube », the hotel’s conference room, which had been refurbished to welcome the fans who had settled in with ease. With a setting adapted to the enthusiasm of the fans and everything they need to fully enjoy a football match, it is clear that the hotel understands its public and adapts to offer experiences without false notes while avoiding excesses.
For Vincent Comarmond, the hotel’s general manager and also a keen football fan, hosting the Euro proved to be a deeply rewarding experience. « We had people from all over the world and we made sure that everyone could find their way around our programme. For this final, we welcomed around 250 people. It’s great to see so many people enjoying the event and having a good time with our teams. For us, the whole event here at the hotel has been a great success and we look forward to designing a new programme for the World Cup in two years. »
On the guest side, Dr Dushala Aujeet, a regular visitor to the hotel, found the programme offered for the Final both soothing and euphoric. Accompanied by a friend, the young woman confided: « There have been lots of activities since we checked in. I think the best thing about staying in a hotel is to get away from your routine for a while. The team went above and beyond to make this possible; the atmosphere was superb throughout the day, the entertainment was lively and we were well looked after, above all. Given the time at which the match finished, it was nice to have a place where you could have fun while knowing you were safe, which is a big plus for two women. » Her comments were echoed by her companion, Dr Jenny Legris, who added that they were delighted to have taken up this opportunity.
