En dépit de la situation économique difficile, le groupe hôtelier Sun Resorts ne déroge pas à son engagement social. Ainsi, à travers SUNCARE, il a effectué, mardi 21 septembre, une remise de chèque destinée à améliorer le confort et la vie quotidienne des enfants atteints de cancer du Sun Children Cancer Ward de l’hôpital Victoria.
Pour rappel, SUNCARE est une organisation à but non lucratif lancée par Sun Resorts qui est engagée depuis plus de 15 ans dans de multiples activités et initiatives environnementales, sociales, communautaires et, humanitaires, avec un soutien particulier depuis 2008 auprès du Cancer Ward de l’hôpital Victoria, l’unique « Pediatric Ward » à Maurice pour les enfants souffrant de cancer.
« One Euro per Guest Night »
Ainsi en ce mois de la sensibilisation au cancer infantile, deux chèques d’une valeur de Rs 500 000 et de Rs 200 000 ont été remis par le CEO de Sun Resorts, François Eynaud à Enn Reve Enn Sourir et Link to Life. Ces fonds, issus du programme « One Euro per Guest Night » lancé par le groupe hôtelier en 2019 permettront à Link to Life de mettre à disposition des enfants et de leur famille, un moyen de transport 100 % pris en charge pour les traitements à l’hôpital. Quant à Enn Reve Enn Sourir, elle pourra faciliter la prise en charge des enfants atteints de maladies et pathologies graves qui requiert des soins dans le privé chez C-Care pour une prise en charge spécialisée.
Suncare Charity Golf Competition
C-Care, premier groupe de santé privé à Maurice, met ainsi à disposition de ces jeunes, son expertise médicale et les infrastructures. Ce partenariat avec Sun Resorts permettra à certains patients gravement malades d’avoir un soutien supplémentaire financier s’ils ne peuvent pas se déplacer à l’étranger. Pour François Eynaud, CEO de Sun Resorts, « ces partenariats avec Link to Life et Enn Reve Enn Sourir, rendus possible grâce à nos généreux donateurs, permettront d’améliorer la prise en charge des enfants atteints de cancer à l’île Maurice. Je les remercie pour leur engagement aux côtés de ces enfants et parents. »
Toujours dans cet engagement vis-à-vis des enfants cancéreux, Sun Resorts organisera sa 5e édition du Suncare Charity Golf Competition le 2 octobre prochain au Tamarina Golf Club. Plus de 80 joueurs sont attendus et tous les bénéfices seront reversés au Sun Children Cancer Fund. Despite the difficult economic situation, the Sun Resorts hotel group does not deviate from its social commitment. Thus, through SUNCARE, on Tuesday 21 September, it handed over a cheque intended to improve the comfort and daily life of children suffering from cancer at the Sun Children Cancer Ward of the Victoria Hospital.

One Euro per Guest Night
During this month of awareness on childhood cancer, two cheques worth Rs 500,000 and Rs 200,000 were presented by the CEO of Sun Resorts, François Eynaud to Enn Reve Enn Sourir and Link to Life. These funds, from the « One Euro per Guest Night » programme launched by the hotel group in 2019, will enable Link to Life to provide children and their families with 100% covered transportation for hospital treatment. As for Enn Reve Enn Sourir, it will be able to facilitate the care of children with serious illnesses and pathologies that require private care at C-Care for specialised treatment.
Suncare Charity Golf Competition
C-Care, the first private health group in Mauritius, is thus making its medical expertise and infrastructure available to these young people. This partnership with Sun Resorts will allow some seriously ill patients to have additional financial support if they cannot travel abroad.
