Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels tourne la page Gilbert Espitalier-Noël qui a dirigé le groupe pionnier de l’hôtellerie mauricienne ces huit dernières années. À partir du 1er juillet, c’est Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé qui occupe le poste de Chief Executive Officer CEO. Ce dernier n’est pas inconnu au groupe qu’il a rejoint en 2018 en tant que Chief Real Estate & Construction Officer.
Au cours des dernières années, Stéphane a été étroitement impliqué dans les décisions stratégiques du Groupe en tant que membre du Comité Exécutif. Il a également joué un rôle clé dans la création de Semaris, une entité spécialisée dans le développement immobilier, et dans son introduction en Bourse.
Titulaire d’un BCom en Marketing et Management de l’université australienne de Curtin, ainsi que d’un MBA des universités Sorbonne/Paris-Dauphine, Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé a commencé sa carrière au sein du groupe Eclosia en 2001, avant de rejoindre le groupe Medine en 2009, où il a occupé le poste de Directeur Général du pôle immobilier.

Ensemble, nous nous engageons à atteindre un objectif commun : hisser Beachcomber vers de nouveaux sommets. »
Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé souligne également l’importance du soutien de tous pour la réalisation des projets prioritaires de l’entreprise. Ces projets incluent l’amélioration de l’expérience client par le biais de l’innovation et de la digitalisation, la fidélisation et la rétention des talents en s’appuyant sur notre marque employeur, le maintien d’un bilan financier solide grâce à l’optimisation des taux d’occupation, le développement de nouveaux marchés, l’efficacité opérationnelle et la réduction de la dette. Il exprime également son attachement à la construction du 9e hôtel de Beachcomber à l’île Maurice. Cet établissement de 200 chambres, accompagné d’un parcours de golf aux Salines de Rivière Noire, augmentera le portefeuille de chambres de Beachcomber sur la destination d’environ 10 % d’ici trois ans.
Beachcomber: Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé takes over from Gilbert Espitalier-Noël
Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is turning the page on Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, who has led the pioneering Mauritian hotel group for the past eight years. As of July 1, Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé will take over as Chief Executive Officer and CEO. He is no stranger to the Group, having joined in 2018 as Chief Real Estate & Construction Officer.
In recent years, Stéphane has been closely involved in the Group’s strategic decisions as a member of the Executive Committee. He also played a key role in the creation of Semaris, an entity specialising in property development, and in its IPO.
Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé holds a BCom in Marketing and Management from Curtin University in Australia, as well as an MBA from the Sorbonne/Paris-Dauphine universities. He began his career with the Eclosia group in 2001, before joining the Medine group in 2009, where he held the position of Managing Director of the real estate division.

Stéphane Poupinel de Valencé also stresses the importance of everyone’s support in carrying out the company’s priority projects. These projects include improving the customer experience through innovation and digitalisation, building and retaining talent through our employer brand, maintaining a strong balance sheet by optimising occupancy rates, developing new markets, improving operational efficiency and reducing debt. He also expressed his commitment to the construction of Beachcomber’s 9th hotel in Mauritius. This 200-room property, together with a golf course at Les Salines de Rivière Noire, will increase Beachcomber’s room portfolio in the destination by around 10% within three years.
