Les épicuriens qui nous suivent sont habitués tous les ans (hors pandémie) des fameux dîners mets et accompagnement organisés Oxenham. The Perfect Experience, Women and Wine, Wine and Diamonds pour n’en citer que quelques-uns. Cette année, Oxenham s’est associée à Michelin, marque représentée à Maurice par Axess, et AfrAsia pour créer un nouveau rendez-vous gastronomique : le Michelin Culinary Experience. Le concept, unique en son genre à Maurice, a été présenté le vendredi 16 juin 2023, au showroom de Mazda, à Pailles. Cette expérience culinaire, qui se déroulera de juin à octobre 2023, promet d’offrir aux gourmets et amateurs de bons vins un voyage aux mille et une saveurs.
Cinq restaurants, situés dans le Nord et un dans l’est de l’île, ont été choisis pour accueillir des dîners accords mets et vins, dont le premier aura lieu le 29 juin à N’Joy, à Grand Baie. Les cinq autres restaurants sont : Amigo, Les Canisses Resto & Plage, The Banana Grill, Eden Beach et Le Poivrier, La Plage.
Des accords mets et vins seront conçus par les sommeliers d’Oxenham, qui ont travaillé en étroite collaboration avec les chefs des différents restaurants afin de sublimer les saveurs proposées dans les entrées, plats et desserts. Chaque association a été ainsi soigneusement réfléchie pour des créations originales.
Gastronomy: launch of the Michelin Culinary Experience
The epicureans who follow us are accustomed every year (except for pandemics) to the famous food and wine dinners organised at Oxenham. The Perfect Experience, Women and Wine, Wine and Diamonds, to name but a few. This year, Oxenham has teamed up with Michelin, a brand represented in Mauritius by Axess, and AfrAsia to create a new gastronomic event: the Michelin Culinary Experience. The concept, the only one of its kind in Mauritius, was presented on Friday 16 June 2023 at the Mazda showroom in Pailles. The culinary experience, which will run from June to October 2023, promises to take gourmets and wine lovers on a journey of a thousand and one flavours.
Five restaurants, located in the north and one in the east of the island, have been chosen to host wine and food pairing dinners, the first of which will take place on 29 June at N’Joy in Grand Baie. The other five restaurants are Amigo, Les Canisses Resto & Plage, The Banana Grill, Eden Beach and Le Poivrier, La Plage.
The food and wine pairings will be devised by Oxenham’s sommeliers, who have worked closely with the chefs of the various restaurants to bring out the flavours in the starters, main courses and desserts. Each pairing has been carefully thought through to produce original creations.
