Promotion touristique : la MTPA et Emirates renouvellent leur partenariat

La Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority et la compagnie aérienne Emirates ont renouvelé leur partenariat en marge de l’Arabian Travel Market 2024 qui s’est tenu à Dubaï du 7 au 9 mai. Le Mémorandum of Understanding (MoU) a été signé par Ahmed Khoory, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial West Asia & Indian Ocean, et Arvind Bundhun, Directeur de la MTPA. À la cérémonie de signature étaient également présents Donald Payen, président de la MTPA et Senior Advisor du ministre du Tourisme ainsi qu’Adel Al Redha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer, Emirates  et Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President Passenger Sales and Country Management.

« Nous sommes enthousiastes quant au renouvellement du partenariat entre Emirates Airline et la MTPA. L’arrivée d’Emirates à Maurice a dynamisé notre secteur touristique en ouvrant le marché émirati et en nous permettant d’atteindre la Russie, l’Europe de l’Est et le Moyen-Orient. Avec le hub de Dubaï desservant près de 140 destinations, Emirates offre également une connectivité mondiale à l’île. Nous sommes convaincus qu’Emirates continuera à fournir un service quotidien inégalé et nous attendons avec impatience une coopération renforcée », a déclaré Arvind Bundhun.

De son côté, Ahmed Khoory a affirmé qu’« Emirates est honorée de desservir Maurice de manière continue depuis 2002 et de jouer un rôle essentiel dans la réalisation des objectifs touristiques du pays grâce à notre partenariat avec la MTPA ». « En exploitant deux vols quotidiens en A380, nous avons la capacité de transporter jusqu’à 1 000 touristes par jour vers l’île, et nous aspirons à continuer à avoir un impact positif sur l’économie touristique du pays. Nous sommes pleinement déterminés à poursuivre nos efforts de promotion de la destination auprès de notre clientèle mondiale », a ajouté le responsable de la compagnie émiratie.

Dans le cadre d’une alliance stratégique fructueuse établie depuis 2012, Emirates et la MTPA ont entrepris des initiatives clés visant à promouvoir le tourisme à Maurice. La compagnie aérienne, qui opère sur l’île depuis 2002 et propose deux vols A380 quotidiens, a joué un rôle crucial dans le développement du tourisme entrant et dans la croissance de l’économie touristique et commerciale de Maurice. Depuis le début de ce partenariat, Emirates a apporté un soutien constant à l’industrie touristique mauricienne grâce à ses services passagers et de fret. En 2023, près de 1,3 million d’arrivées touristiques ont été enregistrées à Maurice, Emirates jouant un rôle majeur dans le transport des touristes vers l’île.

MTPA and Emirates renew their partnership

The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and the Emirates airline renewed their partnership on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market 2024, held in Dubai from 7 to 9 May. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Ahmed Khoory, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial West Asia & Indian Ocean, and Arvind Bundhun, Director of the MTPA. Also present at the signing ceremony were Donald Payen, President of the MTPA and Senior Advisor to the Minister of Tourism, Adel Al Redha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer, Emirates, and Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management.

« We are very excited about the renewed partnership between Emirates Airline and the MTPA. Emirates’ arrival in Mauritius has boosted our tourism sector by opening up the Emirati market and allowing us to reach Russia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. With the Dubai hub serving nearly 140 destinations, Emirates also offers global connectivity to the island. We are confident that Emirates will continue to provide an unrivalled daily service and we look forward to further cooperation, » said Arvind Bundhun.

For his part, Ahmed Khoory said that « Emirates is honoured to have been serving Mauritius continuously since 2002 and to play a key role in achieving the country’s tourism objectives through our partnership with MTPA ». « By operating two daily A380 flights, we can carry up to 1,000 tourists a day to the island and aspire to continue to have a positive impact on the country’s tourism economy. We are fully committed to continuing our efforts to promote the destination to our worldwide clientele », added the head of the Emirati airline.

As part of a successful strategic alliance established in 2012, Emirates and MTPA have undertaken key initiatives to promote tourism in Mauritius. The airline, which has operated on the island since 2002 and offers two daily A380 flights, has played a crucial role in the development of inbound tourism and the growth of Mauritius’ tourism and business economy. Since the inception of the partnership, Emirates has consistently supported the Mauritian tourism industry through its passenger and cargo services. In 2023, nearly 1.3 million tourist arrivals were recorded in Mauritius, with Emirates playing a major role in transporting tourists to the island.
