Au cœur de l’hiver austral, la 9ᵉ édition de l’AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open s’annonce comme l’un des rendez-vous les plus prestigieux du calendrier international. Du 18 au 21 décembre 2025, le spectaculaire La Réserve Golf Links, joyau d’Heritage Resorts à Bel Ombre, accueillera de nouveau l’élite du golf mondial.
Déjà, plusieurs grands noms ont confirmé leur présence : John Parry, tenant du titre, tentera de devenir le premier joueur à conserver sa couronne ; Marcel Siem, ambassadeur d’Heritage Golf Club, retrouvera “son” parcours avec enthousiasme ; Christo Lamprecht, prodige sud-africain, et Dylan Naidoo, révélation de la précédente édition, complètent un plateau d’exception.
Pour Peter Matkovich, architecte de renom et co-concepteur du parcours, cette nouvelle édition confirme le statut de Maurice comme destination golfique incontournable :

Depuis cette victoire, l’Anglais a connu une ascension fulgurante : désormais 8ᵉ au classement de la Race to Dubai, il est en bonne voie pour décrocher sa carte sur le PGA Tour. À ses côtés, Marcel Siem, fidèle au tournoi, loue la technicité du tracé :
« C’est un vrai test, surtout quand le vent se lève. Les fairways et les greens sont impeccables, et certains trous sont particulièrement redoutables. »
Quant à Christo Lamprecht, l’un des jeunes talents les plus prometteurs du circuit, il espère transformer sa deuxième place de 2024 en victoire. L’épreuve réunira également Hennie du Plessis et Jayden Schaper, confirmant la forte présence sud-africaine sur cette étape de l’Opening Swing du DP World Tour.

As the Southern Hemisphere’s summer approaches, anticipation is building for one of the most exciting events on the international golf calendar. From 18 to 21 December 2025, the spectacular La Réserve Golf Links, the crown jewel of Heritage Resorts in Bel Ombre, will once again host the 9th edition of AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open — the only co-sanctioned tournament in the region, under both the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour.
Several big names have already confirmed their participation: John Parry, the defending champion, returns in pursuit of a historic back-to-back victory; Marcel Siem, Heritage Golf Club’s ambassador, is eager to take on “his” course once more; and South African rising stars Christo Lamprecht and Dylan Naidoo will add further firepower to an already world-class line-up.
For South African golf course architect Peter Matkovich, co-designer of La Réserve Golf Links, this second edition marks a turning point for Mauritius as a world golf destination:

Barely a year after its grand opening, the course was voted World’s Best New Golf Course at the World Golf Awards 2024, while Matkovich himself was named Golf Architect of the Year.

2025: A Historic Edition in the Making
The 2025 AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open could prove historic. Last year’s winner John Parry clinched an emotional victory at Mont Choisy Le Golf — two shots clear of South Africans Dylan Naidoo and Christo Lamprecht — and now returns with the ambition to become the first player ever to retain the title.
“I’m really looking forward to returning to Mauritius. That win marked a turning point in my career — and in my life, as it happened on my wedding anniversary! It’s a week I’ll never forget,” says Parry.
Since then, Parry’s momentum has only grown. Currently ranked 8th in the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai, he is on track to secure his PGA TOUR card next season.
Joining him is Marcel Siem, a long-time supporter of the tournament and proud ambassador of Heritage Golf Club.
“It’s a true test, especially when the wind picks up. The fairways and greens are immaculate, and some holes are simply spectacular.”
Meanwhile, Christo Lamprecht, the towering South African talent from Georgia Tech, returns determined to convert last year’s runner-up finish into a win. He’ll be joined by compatriots Hennie du Plessis and Jayden Schaper, reinforcing the strong Sunshine Tour presence at the final event of the DP World Tour’s Opening Swing.
