Anahita Golf & Spa Resort portera désormais le nom de The Bay Club at Anahita.
Sunlife Officially Welcomes Anahita: Introducing The Bay Club at Anahita
Although the integration of Anahita into the Sunlife portfolio was first announced earlier this year, the group officially celebrated this new chapter during a special evening held at Anahita in the presence of tourism partners and industry leaders. The event marked a significant moment for Sunlife as it reaffirmed its commitment to elevating one of Mauritius’ most iconic destinations.
A formal welcome into the Sunlife family
In her address, Joëlle Edwards-Tonks, Chief Commercial & Operations Officer of Sunlife, paid tribute to the dedicated teams from both Sunlife and Anahita, whose collaboration ensured a smooth and meaningful transition. While the integration was already confirmed months ago, this gathering served as the official welcome of Anahita into the Sunlife family.
She highlighted the in-depth work carried out over recent months to rediscover the essence of Anahita — a place nestled between fairway and lagoon, conceived not simply as a resort but as a coastal neighbourhood where guests live, breathe, and belong.
Edwards-Tonks emphasised that Anahita represents a distinctive lifestyle rather than a traditional hospitality model. Everything flows naturally here — from the fairways to the lagoon, from Belgate Square to the open-air terraces — creating a sense of intimacy built on familiarity, rhythm and community. This new phase includes a stronger emphasis on well-being, lifestyle rituals and signature guest experiences. The role of golf will also become more central, supported by a unified strategy that now brings together Anahita Golf and Île aux Cerfs Golf Club as part of Sunlife’s newly established golf cluster.
The big reveal: The Bay Club at Anahita
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the resort’s new name.
Anahita Golf & Spa Resort will now be known as The Bay Club at Anahita.
The new name reflects a destination designed around a sense of belonging — a place where community matters more than check-in formalities, and where guests become temporary residents of a coastal enclave shaped by its own natural rhythm.
A new chapter, shared with the industry
The presence of the chefs and management from Sunlife’s five resorts — Sugar Beach, Long Beach, La Pirogue, Ambre and now The Bay Club at Anahita — offered a living symbol of unity and collaboration.
Closing the evening, Edwards-Tonks thanked the industry partners and teams whose trust and dedication continue to bring Sunlife’s vision to life.
With The Bay Club at Anahita, Sunlife opens a new chapter rooted in innovation, coastal elegance and a renewed Mauritian art of living.
