Grégory Coquet is RIVEO’s new Chief Operations and Asset Management Officer

After four years at the helm of Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Grégory Coquet will take up the position of Chief Operations and Asset Management Officer of Riveo Limited (‘Riveo’) on 15 March 2025. Listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius since 25 November 2024, following the restructuring of Sun Limited, Riveo is the holding company of Four Seasons, Shangri-La Le Touessrok and Île aux Cerfs.

Grégory has over 20 years of experience in managing and transforming exceptional establishments. Educated at the Glion Institute of Higher Education (BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality and Tourism Management, 2002), he completed his leadership expertise with an Executive Leadership Certificate from HEC Paris in 2022. He worked for ten years in Europe, in prestigious establishments such as the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris and the Kempinski Group in Switzerland and Germany, where he honed his approach to operational excellence and strategic positioning.

In 2012, he decided to settle back on his native island, where he had the opportunity to work in various hotel establishments. In 2017, he took over the reins at the Beachcomber Group’s Royal Palm. After four years, he was entrusted with managing the famous Shangri-La Le Touessrok.

‘After successfully transforming Shangri-La Le Touessrok and overseeing its reopening after refurbishment, I am confident that Gregory will bring his expertise in working closely with Sun Limited’s Asset Management team to optimise the performance of Shangri-La Le Touessrok and the Four Seasons. He will also oversee the operations and master plan for Île aux Cerfs. His arrival is a major asset to Riveo’s operations, with great potential to strengthen and consolidate our position within the Mauritian hospitality industry,’ says François Eynaud, CEO of Sun Limited.

RIVEO: Gregory Coquet, extending a vision

In the most refined trajectories, transitions do not signal rupture—they create space for renewed momentum while preserving what has been carefully built.

At Riveo Limited, this continuity now takes shape with the appointment of Gregory Coquet as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026.

A seamless transition

He succeeds Francois Eynaud, who led the creation of RIVEO and guided its early development.

Rather than stepping away, he transitions into a non-executive director and strategic advisor role, ensuring continuity and coherence in the group’s long-term vision.

Building with intention

Since its inception, RIVEO has embraced a deliberate and selective approach to hospitality investment.

A curated portfolio of exceptional assets, shaped not by scale, but by coherence—where each property contributes to a broader narrative of positioning, value, and guest experience.

“We took the time to build strong foundations…” — Francois Eynaud

Currently Chief Operations and Asset Management Officer, Gregory Coquet has been deeply involved in structuring and managing the portfolio.

His profile combines hands-on operational leadership with a strategic understanding of modern hospitality challenges.

An international hospitality background

With over two decades of experience, his career spans Europe and Mauritius.

He notably served as General Manager of Shangri-La Le Touessrok, now part of the RIVEO portfolio, along with leadership roles across several high-end properties.

Looking ahead

This appointment signals the next phase of RIVEO’s development—one that balances growth with discipline and long-term value creation.

“To drive evolution with rigour while ensuring sustainable value creation…” — Gregory Coquet
