Raveena Rummun crowned Best Influencer Indian Ocean 2026

The Indian Ocean has found its latest digital influence star. At the second edition of the Influencers Awards Indian Ocean, Raveena Rummun emerged as the region’s Best Influencer 2026, reaffirming the growing influence of content creators in the islands’ media and cultural landscape.

Hosted in Mauritius, the awards brought together creators from across the Indian Ocean, with nine nominees from Mauritius, five from Réunion and four from Madagascar. For its seventh edition in Mauritius, combined with the second regional edition, the event set out to celebrate creativity while strengthening connections between the digital communities of the region.

Raveena Rummun also claimed the Fashion & Beauty award, adding a second title to her achievements. Through the renewed partnership with the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA), she will represent the Indian Ocean region at the WIBA in Cannes in May 2027. Her travel will be covered by Billetdiscount Réunion, while Flow Wellness Lifestyle will provide accommodation.

Celebrating the Indian Ocean’s creative talent

The awards ceremony unfolded as a celebration of the region’s digital creativity, with a carefully curated programme combining a welcome cocktail, gala dinner and live entertainment. Performances by Elu’Sion Arts, followed by an exclusive concert by Jason Heerah and Otentik Groove, added to an evening designed to bring creators and their communities together.

The regional dimension of the awards also extended beyond the ceremony itself. A series of activities took place in Mauritius, Réunion and Madagascar, with the involvement of Aimée Diagne of Gayar Agence and @valisoaregardelemonde, winner of the 2025 Influencers Awards Indian Ocean.

The event also highlighted the growing recognition of Indian Ocean creators on the international stage. Emily Jeamblu, winner of the 2025 regional award, was meanwhile honoured at the 2026 WIBA for her contribution to the digital sphere, alongside international personalities including pianist Julien Cohen and television presenter Electtra Lamborghini.

A digital community gaining regional momentum

Raveena Rummun was joined on the winners’ list by a diverse group of creators. the.super_nova claimed both Best Influencer Mauritius and Artist & Entertainment, while mdg.aesthetics won Content Creator. Other awards went to Laiza_oh for Fitness & Lifestyle, mimi_adrian for Food, iam.tikih for Travel & Lifestyle and Joypursem.pro for Most Promising.

The Special Jury Vote – Coup de Cœur went to Momzelle food.

Beyond the trophies, the Influencers Awards Indian Ocean reflect a digital community that is increasingly looking beyond individual islands. By bringing creators from Mauritius, Réunion and Madagascar together, the initiative is helping build a shared regional identity in the digital space.

In 2027, that voice will travel further, with Raveena Rummun carrying the colours of the Indian Ocean to Cannes.
