Bonne nouvelle pour les voyageurs entre l’Europe et l’océan Indien : ITA Airways annonce le lancement de sa toute première liaison directe entre Maurice et Rome Fiumicino, à compter du 8 novembre 2025.
Pour marquer cet événement, une cérémonie d’inauguration aura lieu à l’aéroport international Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam à l’arrivée du vol inaugural en provenance de Rome. Sont attendus à cette occasion les représentants institutionnels, les médias locaux, des partenaires du secteur ainsi que la direction de la compagnie italienne.
Cette nouvelle route, l’une des grandes nouveautés du programme hiver 2025–2026 d’ITA Airways, sera opérée par un Airbus A330-900neo, fleuron technologique de la flotte et symbole du confort de la compagnie.
Les vols Rome–Maurice seront proposés deux fois par semaine, les vendredis et dimanches, avec un départ de Fiumicino à 22h00 et une arrivée à Maurice à 11h20 le lendemain. Les retours s’effectueront les samedis et lundis à 22h10, pour une arrivée à Rome à 6h40.
Grâce à son hub de Rome Fiumicino, ITA Airways offrira des connexions fluides vers de nombreuses destinations européennes et internationales.

ITA Airways launches its first direct flight between Mauritius and Rome
Travelers between Europe and the Indian Ocean now have a new gateway: ITA Airways is launching its first-ever direct connection between Mauritius and Rome Fiumicino, starting November 8, 2025.
To celebrate this milestone, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport upon the arrival of the inaugural flight from Rome. The event will gather institutional representatives, local media, key partners, and ITA Airways’ top management.
Part of the airline’s Winter 2025–2026 program, the Mauritius–Rome route marks one of ITA Airways’ most anticipated launches. The service will be operated by the Airbus A330-900neo, the most advanced and sustainable aircraft in its fleet.
The airline will operate two weekly flights between the two destinations: departing from Rome Fiumicino on Fridays and Sundays at 10:00 p.m. and arriving in Mauritius at 11:20 a.m. the following day. Return flights will leave Mauritius on Saturdays and Mondays at 10:10 p.m., landing in Rome at 6:40 a.m..
