Three-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic partners with One&Only Le Saint Géran
In love with Mauritius, where she spent her honeymoon twenty years ago, three-star Michelin chef Anne-Sophie Pic and her husband David Sinapian opened a temporary restaurant at One&Only Le Saint Géran in early October. An exceptional opportunity for the hotel’s residents but also for a connoisseur public to enjoy or discover this cuisine of excellence and refinement.
Anne-Sophie Pic came with some of her lieutenants to launch the restaurant called La Dame de Pic, but also to meet and get to know the entire team that will work daily to apply the brand’s standards, whether in the kitchen or the restaurant.
« One&Only Le Saint Géran is a place that is very dear to me, as I spent my honeymoon there almost 20 years ago and I have remained faithful to the island! Today, I am very happy to work with the culinary team of the establishment to create a gastronomic experience that will highlight the best of Mauritian flavours and ingredients, » said Chef Anne-Sophie Pic at a pre-opening event.
For the time being, the restaurant, which has been set up in Le Prime of the One&Only Le Saint Géran, is announced as an ephemeral place, a sort of Pop-Up restaurant from 11 October 2022 to 4 March 2023, which will therefore serve during the peak tourist season in Mauritius. Anne-Sophie Pic is not yet saying whether this partnership will be extended.
In this gastronomic restaurant, which is open from Monday to Saturday, in the evening only, you will find the chef’s signature dishes prepared mainly with local or regional products. « You have wonderful products here and it would be a waste not to use them. I always cook with products from the region where my restaurants are located. In these times of climatic concerns, we can’t do otherwise, » she says.
