Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels a annoncé la nomination de Sonia Duval au poste de Hotel Manager du Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, à compter du 1er septembre 2025. Cette nomination marque une nouvelle étape dans la carrière d’une professionnelle qui évolue au sein du groupe hôtelier depuis plus de deux décennies.
Une progression interne constante
Sonia Duval a rejoint le groupe Beachcomber en 2001 en tant que Management Trainee au Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, après des études à l’Institut Escoffier et l’obtention d’un MBA en Marketing du Luxe. Elle a ensuite occupé des postes à responsabilité au Trou aux Biches Beachcomber (notamment comme Front Office Manager), puis au Victoria Beachcomber, où elle est restée pendant 18 ans, gravissant les échelons jusqu’au poste d’Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms.
À partir de septembre, elle secondera Lothar Gross, General Manger, à la tête du Canonnier Beachcomber, un établissement 4 étoiles situé à la Pointe aux Canonniers, au nord de l’île. Dans une déclaration transmise par le groupe, Sonia Duval se dit « honorée » par cette nomination et se dit prête à « débuter ce nouveau chapitre » aux côtés des équipes de l’hôtel.
Une stratégie d’évolution interne
Pour la direction de Beachcomber, cette nomination s’inscrit dans une logique de promotion interne et de valorisation des compétences développées au sein du groupe. Jean-Louis Pismont, Chief Operations Officer, a salué les qualités professionnelles de Sonia Duval et souligné que son parcours illustre l’engagement du groupe à accompagner ses collaborateurs dans leur développement.

Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels has announced the appointment of Sonia Duval as Hotel Manager of the Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, effective September 1st, 2025. The move marks a new chapter in the career of a hospitality professional who has spent over two decades within the group.
A Steady Internal Rise
Sonia Duval joined Beachcomber in 2001 as a Management Trainee at Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, after graduating from Institut Escoffier and earning an MBA in Luxury Marketing. She later held managerial roles at Trou aux Biches Beachcomber before spending 18 years at Victoria Beachcomber, where she eventually became Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms.
A New Challenge in the North
From September, Duval will take her post alongside Lothar Gross, the General Manger, at the Canonnier Beachcomber, a four-star property located on the historic site of Pointe aux Canonniers. In a statement, she expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her and her enthusiasm to begin this new chapter with the hotel’s team.
