Neeraj Pyaneeandee, nouveau chef exécutif du Long Beach

Le Long Beach qui jouit déjà d’une belle réputation pour ses restaurants, avec notamment Hasu, classé dans le Top5 des restaurants en Afrique par TripAdvisor, va encore rehausser son offre avec l’arrivée d’un nouveau chef cxécutif, doté d’une riche expérience internationale dans l’hôtellerie de luxe en la personne de Neeraj Pyaneeandee. Le Chef Neeraj se dit « prêt à relever ce nouveau défi » afin d’apporter une vision innovante sur la scène culinaire à Maurice.

Fils du sol, Neeraj fais ses armes à l’école hôtelière à Maurice ainsi qu’à SHATEC Singapore où il décroche un diplôme en Hotel Management. Sa carrière culinaire débute dans l’établissement prestigieux du Royal Palm Hotel à Maurice, avant de progresser rapidement au Maritim Resort & Spa, où il joue un rôle clé dans les opérations de pré-ouverture.

Son exposition internationale prend un tournant significatif lors de son passage à Monaco, au célèbre restaurant Le Louis XV d’Alain Ducasse, où il acquière une expérience précieuse en haute cuisine dans un cadre étoilé Michelin 3 étoiles. Il s’installe ensuite à Londres, rejoignant l’illustre L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, avant de consolider sa réputation au célèbre Ivy London, où il dirige une équipe brillante et contribue à en faire l’un des restaurants les plus prisés du Royaume-Uni.

En 2009, Neeraj a l’opportunité de partir pour Dubaï. Il prend le poste de Chef Exécutif à The Address Montgomerie Dubai, un magnifique boutique-hôtel doté d’un parcours de golf international de 18 trous. Par la suite, à Oman, le Chef Neeraj fait l’ouverture de l’iconique Sheraton Oman en tant que Chef Exécutif, établissant une nouvelle norme pour la scène culinaire de la région.

Fort de ces nombreux succès, il devient Cluster Executive Chef pour Marriott International à Abu Dhabi, gérant deux marques 5 étoiles : Sheraton et Le Meridien, tout en assurant une excellence opérationnelle sur l’ensemble des activités. Pendant son mandat au sein du groupe Emaar Hospitality à Dubaï, le Chef Neeraj a également dirigé les opérations culinaires de lieux de luxe, y compris le lancement du The Address Marina, et introduit des concepts de restauration innovants pour ses clubs de golf, de polo, de bien-être et de yacht. En 2021, Anantara Iko Mauritius fait appel à lui en tant que Chef Exécutif pour son ouverture à Maurice. Plus récemment, le Chef Neeraj a joué un rôle clé en tant que Directeur Culinaire au Hilton Kinshasa en République démocratique du Congo, où il a supervisé l’ouverture de l’hôtel et établi de nouvelles normes d’excellence culinaire.

Après un an en Afrique, Neeraj se réjouit de revenir à Maurice afin de prendre les rênes des cuisines du Long Beach. « Je suis honoré et extrêmement heureux de rejoindre un grand groupe hôtelier comme Sunlife. Ma vision est de transformer les offres culinaires du Long Beach en une référence gastronomique incontournable à Maurice. Je suis impatient de collaborer avec ma nouvelle équipe afin de créer des expériences culinaires de classe mondiale qui résonnent auprès de nos hôtes », affirme Neeraj Pyaneeandee.

The Long Beach, already renowned for its restaurants including Hasu, ranked in the top 5 restaurants in Africa by TripAdvisor, will further enhance its offerings with the arrival of a new Executive Chef, Neeraj Pyaneeandee, with extensive international experience in luxury hotels. Chef Neeraj says he’s « ready to take on this new challenge » to bring an innovative vision to the culinary scene in Mauritius.

 

 

A son of the soil, Neeraj is a graduate of the Mauritius Hotel School and SHATEC Singapore with a diploma in hotel management. His culinary career began at the prestigious Royal Palm Hotel in Mauritius, before rapidly progressing to the Maritim Resort & Spa, where he played a key role in the pre-opening operations.

His international exposure took a significant turn with a move to Monaco, to Alain Ducasse’s famous Le Louis XV restaurant, where he gained invaluable haute cuisine experience in a Michelin 3-star environment. He then moved to London to join Joël Robuchon’s illustrious L’Atelier, before cementing his reputation at the renowned Ivy London, where he led a brilliant team and helped turn it into one of the most sought-after restaurants in the UK.

In 2009, Neeraj was offered the opportunity to relocate to Dubai. He accepted the position of Executive Chef at The Address Montgomerie Dubai, a magnificent boutique hotel with an 18-hole international golf course. Later, in Oman, Chef Neeraj opened the iconic Sheraton Oman as Executive Chef, setting a new standard for the region’s culinary scene.

As a result of this success, he was appointed Cluster Executive Chef for Marriott International in Abu Dhabi, where he was responsible for the management of two 5-star brands: Sheraton and Le Meridien, while ensuring operational excellence across the business. During his tenure with Emaar Hospitality Group in Dubai, Chef Neeraj also led the culinary operations of luxury venues, including the launch of The Address Marina, and introduced innovative dining concepts for its golf, polo, spa and yacht clubs. In 2021, Anantara Iko Mauritius called on him to be the Executive Chef for the opening of their property in Mauritius. Most recently, Chef Neeraj played a key role as Culinary Director at Hilton Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he oversaw the opening of the hotel and set new standards of culinary excellence.

After a year in Africa, Neeraj is looking forward to returning to Mauritius to take the reins of the Long Beach kitchens. « I am honored and extremely excited to be joining a major hotel group such as Sunlife. My vision is to transform Le Long Beach’s culinary offerings into an unmissable gastronomic reference in Mauritius.
